Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. Routine has no sign-in and no server. Everything stays on your iPhone.
How do I back up my training history?
Routine saves a CSV backup automatically after each session. Find them in the Files app under On My iPhone → Routine → Backups. To restore, open the Log tab and choose Import.
How do I change my plan?
Open the Log tab and tap Your setup. Change your answers, then tap Save and rebuild. To move or remove single days, tap EDIT on the Train tab.
Can I use kilograms?
Yes. Switch units in the Log tab. Your history converts on screen; nothing is lost.
Steps or workouts aren't showing in Apple Health
Open the Settings app → Health → Data Access & Devices → Routine and turn on the categories. Steps can't be read while your iPhone is locked, so the widget may show the last reading until you unlock.
The Apple Watch app isn't updating
Make sure Bluetooth is on and the watch is unlocked, then start the session on your iPhone. The watch follows the phone.
